From pronghorn antelope roaming the lowlands of Death Valley to coyotes lounging in the parking lots of Yosemite, wildlife is enjoying a resurgence during the COVID-19 lockdown. Workers staying in Yosemite “describe an abundance of wildlife not seen in the last century,” particularly bears: “It’s not like they usually aren’t here … It’s that they usually hang back at the edges or move in the shadows.”
